Position Purpose

The Agribusiness Project Manager leads and oversees the planning, execution, and delivery of all initiatives under the Agribusiness Division, including both the Agribusiness and Animal Science projects. These initiatives include exhibitions, conferences, B2B forums, and related publications. The role provides strategic oversight, team leadership, cross-project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and financial and operational supervision to ensure successful outcomes in agriculture, livestock, food systems, and allied industries.

Key Responsibilities

A) Strategic Project Planning & Execution

  • Develop, implement, and monitor project strategies and timelines for both Agribusiness and Animal Science tracks.
  • Approve key project documents including concept notes, brochures, floor plans, exhibitor packages, and evaluation reports.
  • Ensure all projects align with organizational goals, standards, and stakeholder expectations.

B) Financial & Operational Oversight

  • Lead cross-project budgeting and financial planning; ensure projects operate within approved budgets.
  • Monitor project performance against key milestones and indicators.
  • Review and mitigate risks; develop contingency plans as needed.

C) Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Supervise and support Project Coordinators and Assistants under the division.
  • Coordinate and align team functions across sales, marketing, operations, and communications for each project.
  • Ensure staff performance aligns with organizational expectations and encourage professional growth.

D) Stakeholder Engagement & Representation

  • Cultivate relationships with stakeholders, including government bodies, international organizations, academic institutions, and private sector players.
  • Represent the division at national and international meetings, stakeholder forums, and public events.
  • Develop institutional partnerships and linkages to strengthen project outcomes.

About You

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness, Agriculture, Animal Science, Project Management, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven leadership managing multi-stream teams (project delivery, operations/logistics, stakeholder engagement).
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and executing large-scale agricultural or livestock events and projects.
  • Strong financial management, budgeting, and reporting experience.
